Pictures

We have well over 200 pictures from the reunion that have been posted! These all come from the ubiquitous camera slung around my (Thomas Cicirelli McLaren's) neck at such school functions. I spent a large number of hours over the weekend of July 12 deeply looking into your eyes, and let me tell you, I'm fairly frightened by what I saw...

Here's looking at you, kid!

You see to facilitate quickly taking natural candid shots, I left the red eye reduction off so as not to draw attention to the camera. This means that almost all of the eyes from the pictures taken at Pine Ridge look like the one on the left. (Scary...) But don't fret! I went in and manually painted them black so they all now look mostly like the eye on the right. And let me tell you, that's a lot of eyes. (No bonus points for guessing who's eyes the above's are. They do belong to a classmate of ours, though...)

I also color corrected, dodged, burned, blurred, and sharpened a large number of photos. (As Mr. Sivo and Mr. Vaccariello will attest, thank God for postproduction! ;) Unfortunately, this is only adding to the length of time before the pictures get to the web site. I hope to get around 30 - 50 done per week and post them Sunday night. So, I'll see you here on Monday for the next few weeks. (No, I don't know when I'll be finished. A few weeks.)

The pages under Pictures to the left all take at least 2 - 4 minutes to load if you are connecting to the Internet via a modem. I split them up so that you won't have to wait forever to see them. The pictures on the pages labeled "Page 1", "Page 2", "Page 3" and so on are in approximately the same order that I took them. The longer you stayed, the more pictures you are in. The pictures on the "Class Picture" page all come from a number of pictures my wife, Carole McLaren, took of the class when we gathered to take the picture. I tried to spit them up so that just about everyone was looking at the camera.

I have tried to match the names and faces as best I could. If there isn't a name with a face it's because I couldn't do it! Please send me an email with the right name for the face, and I will fix it when I put up the next set of pages.

Share Your Reunion Pictures with Us NOW!

I saw all you with your husbands, wives, and significant others holding cameras. Don't think that I don't want you to share your pictures of the reunion with me and the rest of the class! :) Especially since I missed the first hour plus of the happenings at Pine Ridge and didn't show up to Orlando park until - what - 2pm? Finally, I'm picture postproduction with my own pics; so, I'm asking you to share. Yes! We want you to send in your pictures! I can accommodate either digital or printed pictures in just about any format. Just send me, your trusted webmaster Thomas Cicirelli McLaren, an email and we'll work out the details. Don't worry about loaning me originals; they will be returned!

And speaking of sharing, I'll also asking you if you wouldn't mind putting your pictures into a CD or two that will be available to the members of the class for the cost of shipping when this is all done. (Cost should be somewhere in the one dollar range.) As a start, all of the images that I took will be available - even the bad ones - and not in web-friendly, tiny-sized versions. Oh no! For you, the full blown 1.3 - 2.1 megabyte size fully capable of 8 x 10 prints! (Totally unacceptable for posting here because of the long download times and limited web server space, but on a CD there are acres of megabytes and instant access!)
